Richard Martin, D.Min.
I am a compassionate psychotherapist who enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families to ease their pain and enhance their joys---specializing in relationship-therapy and the art of compromise at my private practice in Hadley, Massachusetts.
I would call myself an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help you effectively address personal life challenges, bringing the subconscious and superconscious minds into your consciousness, and under the management of your Self.
I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
With over 22 years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of Andover-Newton Theological School with a doctoral degree in psychology (and a two-year externship in couple and family therapy at Atlanticare Medical Center, Lynn, MA), I feel uniquely equipped to promote balance in mind and heart and soul.
In addition to my good reputation as a relationship-therapist, I have served on the steering committee of a national psychologcal association, and presented at national conferences and to general audiences, demonstrating how to promote inner peace and improve outward relationships.
